Lettering is nothing without layout. When both are aligned it's not noticeable, but when one is off it's not a cohesive composition. In this workshop, Mike will present an overview of what makes a good design so that you can better understand how to create and assess one. You will come away with a better understanding of composition essentials and some layout tips of special interest to lettering artists. Included in the workshop will be handouts, assignments to build your design skills, and a review of work completed after the class.
