I am really excited to be invited back by the Gentle Penman to teach a Christmas/ Winter themed workshop. So instead of designing and decorating words, I thought it would be nice for us to gild snowflake designs since the Christmas Holidays are a few months away.
This workshop will be suitable for all levels as we will be combining different techniques, from design, to gilding and adding colour to our snowflakes and finally we will also be incorporating the use of a wedge/ triangle brush as part of the snowflake design.
In the first class I will guide you through the process of drawing, drafting and designing snowflakes, so that by the end of the workshops, you can walk away with something that is uniquely yours.
For the second class we will look at some of the tools used in gilding and learn how to create a raised gold effect when gilding the snowflake using 23k loose gold leaf and Miniatum Ink.
We will then finish the class off by working on paintbrush techniques and how to incorporate the use of a wedge brush in our designs.
This workshop will let you experiment with mixing different mediums with your gilding technique and it will be a great project for you to do and send out for the holiday season ahead. I can’t wait to share with you all again!

You may also choose to watch the recordings first before deciding what supplies you want to buy.
