Class Overview - All Skill Levels
Note: familiarity with using a broad edge pen is required for this class. Basic use of the pen will not be covered in class.
Take a one-day journey into the amazing world of Engrosser’s Text. This uniquely American hand is derived from the influences of French and German roundhands and is the workhorse of the certificate and diploma industry. These letters incorporate slants, curves, and angles that give them a formal feel while remaining relatively quick to write. In addition to learning the structure of two distinct versions of Engrosser’s Text, participants will replicate the many embellishments and uses found in provided historical models.
