Great for all styles: pointed pen, broad-edge, and brush. Semi-transparent surface is slightly more opaque than Borden & Riley Marker Layout, but still suitable for laying over calligraphy guidelines and grids. Works beautifully with alcohol markers such as Copic; can withstand many layers of ink without bleeding through, feathering, or wrinkling. Also great for graphite, pastels, and charcoal.

Recommended by many teachers for calligraphy practice. Michael Sull's favorite pad for work for reproduction. His recommendation is echoed by other scribes and penmen: "Absolutely wonderful." "A great pad."

    This has been my paper of choice for decades! It is wonderful for pointed pen work, as it holds the fine lines so well, and also handles the heavier strokes that result from pressure. It is my choice for my students when practicing, and also for all of my work done for reproduction, as it holds up under scanning and copy reproduction very well.
