Line Dances: Flourished Borders – All Levels
A lively dance with the pointed pen! Offhand flourishing is a peaceful and meditative skill that is done with ink directly on your art paper. The flourishes are spontaneous and organic, and the results are spectacular. Using the elements and principals of design we will flourish border designs that arch, cascade or create frames for your lettering. The flourishes can become as detailed and intricate as you like as we progress through the class. Colour can be added with watercolour or coloured pencil or you can choose to leave your designs in pen and ink. Once you see the possibilities of flourishing with the pointed pen, you will find endless opportunities to bring this magic to your artwork. Bring a sense of play with you as we work on our borders.
