Description

A great class for young people! I suggest 4th grade or older. Students from 3rd grade into college have taken these summer classes. Let’s create cool letters! Gothic (aka Blackletter) is a classic, dramatic, lettering style and a great way to introduce yourself to broad edge nib calligraphy. Students will write with a professional quality cartridge pen. We will explore both traditional presentations of Gothic letters and a modern funky grafitti-inspired form. Each class we will also create a project to practice our skills. Reviews from past students are available on the website. As a homeschool mom, I've taught calligraphy to kids for years and have refined the classes to maximize engagement and success. Please help me share this opportunity with young people. Scholarships are available.
