Description

Would you like to learn to mix ANY color of ink you want for calligraphy? This workshop will show you how! You don't have to buy out the entire store to get all the ink colors you want. If you've ever wanted to use an ink (or paint) color that you didn't have on hand, or it wasn't commercially available in a calligraphy-friendly ready-made product, this is the class for you. In this workshop, you'll learn how to mix almost ANY color of ink (or paint) quite precisely using a palette of only five basic colors. Here's your opportunity to take control of your colors!

PREREQUISITE: At least 6 months of calligraphy study, including familiarity with dip pens. Previous experience in writing with gouache is beneficial. Note on prerequisites: You can take this class with less prior experience even if you don't have immediate plans for using the inks with dip pens—if you just want to learn to mix colors for painting and/or brush lettering for now.
