Sherrie Lovler - Making it Your Daily Practice - Aug 15, 22, 29; Sept 5

The overall plan is to create a little book that houses one’s daily paintings. Students, however, are not tied to the book idea, nor needing to paint every day. The classes are lessons in art which cover 31 different topics (one for each day of the month). The next set of 4 lessons (#26-29) begins Tuesday, August 15 on Live Zoom. They will cover painting Inspired by Nature, Creating Your Own Palette, Working in Layers and Painting on Black Paper. The full course is a very unique learning situation. It is from a calligrapher-turned-abstract-artist’s point of view. This is an abstract painting class. Lettering is rarely covered. Asemic writing is often used when the calligraphic line is needed. There are no prerequisites for these classes. No need to have taken any of the previous classes, or to be a painter or calligrapher. However, all the previous lessons are available as prerecorded lessons, including how to make the book.
