Stroke Kinesthetics for Broad Pen by Denis Brown – Level: (A) All levels
Edward Catich wrote of stroke kinesthetics—he meant the gestural movements in writing. He applied them in remarkably fluid brush writing of Imperial Roman Capitals. In this class, explore the instructor's unique approach to broad-pen
strokes (students may also develop with different tools of their choice). There will be kinesthetics on steroids for advanced or daring calligraphers. Less advanced students will be encouraged to take a gentler, yet still fluid, approach to the gestures and pen manipulations. All levels will take away an expanded view of calligraphy.
