Throw out all your preconceived notions about the pointed pen. In this class we’ll play with the pointed pen and start by making marks and not letters. We’ll learn what marks the pointed pen makes well and those it doesn’t. We will then use those marks to make various designs that will lead to flourishes and eventually to letters. Since we won’t be doing anything remotely historical or traditional, this will be a fun, no pressure class suitable for students at all levels.
