Description

You have a quotation or poem you want to letter out, but what can you do besides write out the text in a series of lines? This workshop can help! Working extensively with tracing vellum and pencil, we’ll experiment with creating thumbnail sketches, skeletal letter shapes, centering text, experimenting with various layout ideas, and other elements. We’ll then work toward fine-tuning your design in pencil before transferring the layout to good paper for the inking of the final product. This workshop is an especially good one to follow-up our Perfecting Your Pencil Work workshop!
