Joy Vanides Deneen - Introduction to Copperplate - The Majuscules

This four-week online introductory course in Copperplate calligraphy is designed for those who have taken Joy's Level 1 class (or have already studied the lowercase alphabet) and are looking to continue their studies.

The course includes:

- uppercase letter forms  - continuation word construction - numbers and symbols - envelope addressing - creation of a small project Students are encouraged to scan and submit their weekly practice pages to Joy for feedback and critique.

For this class, you will need the following:

- one penholder (options listed below) - 3 nibs (Nikko G, Leonardt 40 and Hunt 101) - one bottle of sumi ink - one bottle of white ink - one Dinky Dip inkwell - one pipet - a blank Rhodia pad - a pad of black paper - a 3B drawing pencil - a ruler - a small container for water - paper towels - matches
