Class Overview - All Skill Levels

This class is for both beginners and students who wish to refresh their knowledge. Known as both Roundhand and Engrossing Script, this class will provide the basics and true fundamentals of this beautiful script. The focus of this graceful script is learning how to manipulate the pointed pen to make the thick down strokes and hairline upward strokes. The class will reference the Zanerian Manual and its practices. The morning portion will focus on learning the basic strokes for lowercase letters. The afternoon will shift to capital letters, combine them with the lowercase letters, and work on appropriate spacing.

CLASS SUPPLIES
• An oblique pen holder (H114, H129)
• Nib (Nikko G nib or Gillott 1068A, experienced individuals can use their favorite nib) (N113, N76, N220)
• Any color McCaffery ink or your favorite ink used with the pointed pen (other suggested inks would be Moon Palace Sumi, or Old World Ink) (I37, I70)
• Grid-square paper pads (5 squares per inch from Rhodia or Clairefontaine tablets) (P55, P38)
