Description

N93-V. Hunt 22 Vintage Nib (22B) "Extra Fine."

With the exception of Nikko G, EF Principal and Brause Rose Nibs, they just don't make pointed nibs like they used to. You will find that the Vintage Hunt 22s do write better than most modern nibs and you should find very few defective ones. These Vintage Hunt 22 nibs are a bit more copper colored than the current ones; they are also less wide overall, and they taper quicker to the nib tip. Highly recommended by Michael Sull and others for Spencerian. Limited stock.

- Excellent for pointed pen scripts
- Vintage nib, higher quality than currently made version
- Were made in the USA
- Brass colored steel -- slightly different color from current Hunt 22
- Stamped on nib: 22 / Hunt / Extra Fine / U.S.A.
- Also referred to as Hunt 22B

    Almost Perfect

This is a fantastic writing tool and could be my favorite. However, they are brittle. Of the five I bought, three have broken above the reservoir. I had to take one star away for that fact, otherwise it would be a five-star product.

    Amazing nibs!

Posted by Michelle Robnett on Jul 26th 2021

The Hunt 22 Vintage was the first time my Engrosser's Script had fine hairlines and reasonable (not humungous) shades! Smooth to write with, no scratching on upstrokes, and the tines spread just enough but not too much on downstrokes. OMG, I considered buying a gross, as someone that just started pointed pen in April 2021 & this review was written July 2021!!!!! Then, the nib broke, right where the hole joined the body of the nib, it went flying (found one tine). I'll save these for something important, still amazing, but I was warned they could have defects; wow!!
