Very capable artist's nib
I use this nib for illustration. It gives me a decent variety from fine lines to semi- thick (does not go too thick, but reasonable variation). Only drawback is you need to wipe bits from the tines periodically and a fair amount of dipping. Note: I have found that a 45 - 50 degree angle works best to help control "snag" issues and also use a standard speedball calligraphy nib holder to allow you ease of movement. You have to watch upward strokes as they are susceptible to "snags" if you are not careful. Keep these tips in mind, and you will find a very capable nib (assuming you have broken it in properly first).

Hire 700
I bought this nib completely on a whim, and I am so glad I did. I LOVE it. It definitely has thicker lines than something like the Principal EF, but provides pronounced, easily controllable swells. It is smooth and the way it flexes has an elasticity and bounce I haven't felt before in other nibs.
