Want lots of 1-on-1 PERSONALIZED help on your choice of calligraphy topics, with a lower cost than private tutoring? Wouldn't you love to get extensive tutoring in calligraphy and decoration, with assignments tailored to YOUR particular interests and skill level, and plenty of personalized feedback from your instructor on your work? If so, this course is for you! This is the next best thing to private one-on-one tutoring in All Things Calligraphy! There will only be FOUR students accepted into this course, so that you get lots of time for individual assistance and feedback. You can study whatever topics you like in terms of calligraphy and related decorative methods and can change or expand your topics of study at will. The instructor will give you personalized assignments, individual feedback on your work and practice, and step-by-step guidance. Think back for a moment about everything you have studied in the world of calligraphy. What styles have you studied? -- Uncial, Italic, Copperplate, Modern calligraphy, Blackletter, Fraktur, Spencerian? What techniques or approaches have you studied? -- Decorated letters, filigree, gilding, flourishing, Celtic knots, florals, layout & design? -- What topics have you studied in the past that you would like to explore in more depth? -- What topics have really excited you? -- What topics would you like to branch out on? -- What projects have you done that you really loved, and would like to spend more time on? NOW is your time to really dive DEEP into these things! How do you make the fastest possible progress in becoming a better artist? -- Study with an experienced instructor. (Check) -- Learn and use the most efficient and effective methods of study. (Check.) -- Get detailed, personalized feedback on your work and methods of approach. (Check.) -- After covering the basics, go in depth on the topics that particularly interest you. (Check.) -- Do your homework. (Okay, this one is on you!) This is your chance to branch out and really explore the depths of whatever calligraphy-related topics intrigue you, and progress as fast as possible thanks to individual help from your instructor, just as you would get in private tutoring! WHO: Adults and mature adolescents PREREQUISITE: At least ONE YEAR of study in calligraphy-related topics WHERE: Online via Zoom (LIVE interactive online workshop, 4 students maximum) RECORDINGS: Available for review for an extended period.

E06. Precision white eraser

S412 or S931. Painter's tape or artist’s tape 
S632 Product Name Protractor
PS42, PS47, PA42, PS110, PA110, or PA26. Watercolor paper for projects – white or off-white, smooth and non-bleeding, medium to heavy weight, such as Arches Hot Press (90# or 140#), Stonehenge Hot Press, or Strathmore, or another type of your choice. Hot Press is preferred over Cold Press for calligraphy if the paper comes in both varieties. (A sample pack such as PA101 may be helpful in exploring paper options); Qty: at least two large sheets OR one large sheet and at least 10 smaller sheets
Non-bleeding paper for practice and layout: either grid paper OR blank paper OR both; Qty: 1 pad (recommend 1 grid pad *and* 1 blank pad). For example:
• P55 or P56. Rhodia grid pad, and/or
• P21 or P22. John Neal grid pad, and/or
• P53. Rhodia blank pad

Paper towels; several sheets
