Want to learn to draw and paint beautiful Celtic knots? Here's your chance; NO previous experience required! Have you ever wondered how those lovely, convoluted patterns of Celtic knots are made? Or do you understand the basics and now want to dig deeper? The process is actually fairly straightforward, and in this class, you’ll discover the secrets to tying and untying those knots easily! We will start from scratch, so NO previous experience is required. We will work up to covering more involved types of Celtic knots, such as: -- Double-ribbon knots -- Celtic cross -- A series of linked hearts -- Celtic knots on a curve -- Triquetra (triangle) designs -- Letters incorporating Celtic knots Along the way we will explore options for adding color to your Celtic knots and turning them into finished projects.
WHO: Adults and mature adolescents.

E06 or E22. Precision white eraser
PL21. Pencil
S412 or S931. Painter's tape or artist’s tape
M17. Pigma Micron marker, black ink, size 01 (or similar)
P22 or P55. Grid paper, any kind with at least 4 squares/inch, letter-size or larger. Qty: about 10 sheets
PS01, PS01-PKT, PS01-FS, PA03, PS42 or PS47. Fairly smooth white or off-white watercolor paper of your choice, such as Arches Text Wove or Arches Hot Press watercolor paper (90# or 140#). Qty: 1 (large) full sheet, OR at least 4 to 6 letter-size sheets (or larger)
Plain blank paper, such as copier paper. Qty: about 5 sheets, letter-size
BR26, BR26-S4, or BR80. Small round (pointed) watercolor brush, size 0 or smaller (size 000 suggested, if you only get one); Qty: 1
S1032–12A, S1032-36 color, S994, S1049, S1050, GW100, WNWC1 **OR** WNWC2. Non-metallic watercolor paints (watercolors are highly recommended but you may substitute watercolor pencils, such as Derwent Inktense Watercolor Pencils [PL32]). Qty: 1 basic set of non-metallic colors (brighter colors will generally be more useful)
PL28, PL29, PL32 or PL05. Colored pencils or watercolor pencils (Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils are a favorite). Qty: 3 (or more) bright colors of your choice
