IS42. Boku-Undo Metallic Ink Stick.

Traditional Japanese ink sticks now available in metallic colors! Pair this Metallic ink stick with a ceramic ink stone and some water, and you can easily create your own shimmery ink. Colors separate more easily than standard black sumi ink; we recommend stirring frequently. Gum arabic can be added as a binder. Dry completely after use to avoid cracking.

    These ink stocks reconstitute really well, and flow like liquid metal. Easy to use with brushes and pointed nibs, but you'll need to balance viscosity for broad-edged nibs. I use them alone (pale and dark paper), and sometimes mix them with colour ink to add shimmer.
