Ziller Business Writing & Artistic Writing Books
My review is in regard to the Business Writing and Artistic Writing books as I did not purchase the other books in the series. Overall, these are high quality books. They are printed on good paper and the print quality is excellent with crisp font and detailed images. The versions I received were staple bound. While the binding was good, I'd pay extra for a spiral-bound or lay-flat option of this series. This would make the books easier to use while practicing drills. Ziller was an incredibly talented penman and careful study of his methods outlined in these books would yield great results. There is significant overlap in the content of these books with the Tamblyn Home Instructor book so you may not want both of them. A unique feature of the business writing book is that Ziller shows how each letter connects to every other letter. This is a minor feature, but not often included in other instruction material. Additionally, the use of white letters on dark background to illustrate letterforms is also a nice feature. Overall, I highly recommend these books.
